NY Newsday Sports Scribes Scuffle - Francesa or Blowdryer Responsible for Break-up

We promised you here that we would have rare audio of a furious Neil Best. Seems Neil finally got around to adding Mantz to his HOF but whilst doing so - Bob Glauber's hair dryer caused interference on Best's 660 am lunchtime listening and he was unable to transcribe Mike Francesa's show.

Ken Davidoff and Erik Boland smuggled the audio below out and provided it to the Blitz. It is somewhat difficult to hear it all as Best completely loses it. But we spare no expense here. So we had an Audio Expert Witness & Tape Analysis Expert Witness & Consultant listen to it. From what she could clarify - here is a minor rundown of what is going on during the fight.

• Until the 10 second point Neil is transcribing Francesa's proclamations on which MLB free agents matter to him


• At the 10 second point Glauber starts blow drying his hair. He asks Neil whether or not the blowdryer bothers him as he has to appear on ESPN for a discussion of Vinsante Shiancoe with Dr. Michael Kaplan


• At the 22 second point Neil says something along the lines of 'stupid arse questions' and shuts off his notebook (which happened to have Fangs' Bites open in a small window)


• Glauber follows that up near the 30 second mark by asking again, "Do you want me to shut this off or what?" The blowdryer is shut off quickly after that and Best goes on a one minute rant about Bob Glauber and his stupid questions. Finally ending with Best telling Glauber he's sick and tired of it and that he (Glauber) can just do whatever the hell he wants to do. So he (Glauber) simply applies mousse
